During the Summer of 2023, our current State Representatives past a number of laws that went un-noticed by the people. During the month of may, a so called Reproductive health care bill ( 23-188 / 23-189 ) was opened. A lot of verbiage was changed but one that was changed/added was that a child (minor) under the legal age was allowed to seek so called, Gender Affirming Care without thier parents consent. In the verbiage in the law, it states that gender affirming care is; 'CONTRACEPTIVE procedures, supplies, and OR information  WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO OR THE CONSENT OF THE MINOR'S PARENT OR PARENTS, LEGAL GUARDIAN, OR ANY OTHER PERSON HAVING CUSTODY OF OR DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MINOR'.

 After reviewing this bill carefully, I looked at the definitions of Contraceptive and Procedures.

     You add those two words then add the third which is supplies, what does that give you?

It gives you exactly what the law states. I minor with out the consent of thier parents or guardians could receive; tubal ligation (tubes Tide),  puberty blockers (blocking the hormones — testosterone and estrogen — that lead to puberty-related changes in your body. This stops things like periods and breast growth, or voice-deepening and facial hair growth), Testosterone prescription for girls, Estrogen prescription for boys and a Procedures included in to gender reassignment like removal of the genitalia (penis) of little boys and breast of little girls. 

    I personally believe that if my child has an issue about thier feelings or body, I as a parent would want to be the first person to know and assist my child to understand change in thier body is a natural process called puberty. This is something as parent, is our obligation and orders given from god to address of our natural order of parenting. No child that is not of legal age to vote, drive a car, get a tattoo, support themselves, still believe in Santa Clause, have the capacity to really understand the changes in thier body to make these life altering decisions and especially with out thier parent.
